A KILLER XL Bully, whose owner has been arrested on suspicion of murder, was involved in previous dog attacks reported to police.

Horrified witness have told how "kind and caring" dad-of-one Ian Langley, 54, was fatally injured when the suspected XL Bully sank its teeth into his neck.

Yesterday the dog's owner, 44, originally arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, was re-arrested on suspicion of murder. The dog was shot dead at the scene, and a second, also believed to be an XL, was seized.

As friends and neighbours paid tribute to the victim, it emerged the dog had been involved in previous incidents.
