QUEEN Elizabeth's state funeral and lying in state cost almost £162million, the Treasury revealed.
The sum was spent during the 10-day period of national mourning following the Queen's death at Balmoral last September 8, before the state funeral on September 19.
It includes £73.7million spent by the Home Office on security and police.
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport, which led for the Government on the lying-in-state, spent £57.4million.
