BOB MacINTYRE is Hawaii bound but it won't be on holiday as he confirmed his plan to get firing on the PGA Tour.
The 27-year-old Scot revealed he intends to tee up at the Sony Open in Honolulu, the second event on the 2024 PGA Tour schedule, from January 11.
The two-time DP World Tour winner is among a tartan quartet contesting this week's Australian PGA Championship in Brisbane, a co-sanctioned event at Royal Queensland.
MacIntyre said: "It will be Hawaii at the start of next year. There's so much going on, we've organised so much leading up to last week, that come Sunday once it was confirmed, it was just, 'Get these documents signed'.
"It's time to get things moving over there. The Sony Open in Hawaii will be the first one."
History may be against him in Hawaii as in the near 60-year history of the Sony Open, no Brit or European player has savoured success.
MacIntyre is one of 10 DP World Tour players who earned full PGA Tour status following last week's DP World Tour Championship, the final event in the Race to Dubai season.
