King orders senior family members to welcome Andrew back into the family

THE King overruled Prince William by ordering the senior royals to welcome the disgraced Duke of York back into the family fold, it is claimed.

The monarch is said to have made it clear that Prince Andrew wouldn't be shut out any longer.

Insiders suggested the Duke would be buoyed by the family show of support after being forced to miss public events and stand aside from all royal duties over his friendship with the late paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

A source said: "The King feels he has an awful lot on his in-tray and this is one issue he wants to draw a line under."

The King, 74, also suggested the Prince of Wales would be the one to drive Andrew to church in Scotland last Sunday, sources have revealed. This has been seen as a major boost towards the Duke's rehabilitation.
