CRAIG MOORE has confirmed he would be "interested" in returning to Rangers as the club's sporting director.

The former Ibrox skipper's name has been linked with the vacant position since beleaguered sporting director Ross Wilson quit   the post for a similar role at English Premier League strugglers Nottingham Forest.

Speaking in the latest episode of our Off The Record podcast, Moore reveals how he narrowly missed out on a senior recruitment position at Hearts three years ago after two interviews with owner Ann Budge.

The talent finder, who held down the same key role back in Australia at Brisbane Roar, admits he's keeping a close eye on developments at his old club as new chairman John Bennett oversees a huge restructuring project on and off the pitch.

And the popular Aussie has revealed that he has been holding ongoing conversations with newlyappointed chief executive James Bisgrove.
