A TOT with a brain tumour the "size of a tennis ball" is fighting for his life despite his parents being told he was only suffering a viral infection just one year after their other son had a heart operation.
Kevin Brennan jnr from Airdrie fell ill in May. After a visit to the GP and University Hospital Wishaw parents Samantha and Kevin were told his vomiting was caused by an infection.
Despite assurances, the tot remained poorly and the parents sought a second opinion at the Royal Hospital for Children on June 17.
After a scan, the couple, both 32, were given the devastating news their 16-month son had a brain tumour - and were told had they waited any longer "he might not be here today".
