ROCKET man Sir Elton John ended his UK touring career by blasting through two hours of his greatest hits at Glastonbury last night.
The 76-year-old drew a crowd of up to 100,000 people at the festival, stretching beyond the usual borders. for the Pyramid stage.
After walking slowly on stage in a gold suit and black shirt, the singer-songwriter gave an epic performance to close the 2023 festival, a show billed as the final UK gig of his farewell tour.
Sir Elton previously said the show would start with a song that he had not played in 10 years - and he began by belting out Pinball Wizard.
At the end of the song, Elton pointed to the crowd then clapped his hands to urge them to join in, before launching into The Bitch is Back.
