Last-minute venue switch as hotel bars party

THE family of executed gangster Marc Webley held a "celebration of his life" at the pub where he was shot dead.

The 38-year-old died after being shot outside the Anchor Inn in Edinburgh's Granton area on December 31.

Dozens of family and friends turned up to an event to celebrate his life on Wednesday night, which had been scheduled to take place at a plush Edinburgh hotel.

But The Village Inn, at nearby Crewe Toll, cancelled the event.
