Scots coach Frazer reckons Dio will be a smash hit at Rangers after seeing him shine at Right to Dream Academy with West Ham star Kudus
HE'S GHANA BE BRILLIANT

TWO match-worn Nordsjaelland strips take pride of place in Frazer Robertson's home mementos from his time coaching with the Right to Dream Academy.

One belongs to West Ham superstar Mohammed Kudus, the other to Rangers' latest signing Mohamed Diomande.

The Scot loves to keep reminders of the best talents he's worked with in the Ghanabased football school, with those two among the elite.

But it's one thing excelling in a Nordsjaelland top in front of an average crowd of just over 5000 and quite another doing it in the light blue of Rangers in front of 10 times that number who expect you to win every time that strip goes over your head, especially when you arrive with a £4.5million price tag on your back.

Robertson has no doubts on that score and insists Diomande, just like Kudus who is tearing it up in the Premier League with the Hammers, has everything required to fill the jersey at Ibrox.

Both players graduated from RTD to the Danish club the academy owns in the last six years. And Robertson said the Rangers new boy will bring a quiet charm to Ibrox off the pitch - but a fiercely competitive and talented character on it.

He said: "Diomande was in the first group I worked with when I went out to Ghana.

"He would have been one of the first Ivorian boys to come in when Right to Dream expanded their recruitment.

"He was in the same squad as Kudus and Ibrahim Sadiq.

That was a dual age band 2000 and 2001 and it was a really special group. The midfield at times was Diomande, Kudus and Abu Francis who is now with Cercle Brugge.
