ALEX BANNON has found common ground with a fellow study buddy turned gaffer and won't waste his shot to swot up on another star pupil.
The 20-year-old has been part of the Queen's Park set-up for more than a decade but is still learning the ropes as a center-back, having long been a midfielder.
His appetite to learn off the pitch has already caught the attention of new gaffer Callum Davidson while his ability to do so on it should be bolstered by Danny Wilson's arrival.
The former Liverpool, Rangers and Hearts centreback pitched up in time for today's trip to Inverness, where a win would see ninth-placed Queen's close the gap on the team above them to a point.
Bannon said: "I've been learning a lot the last couple of years on how to play centreback and different styles.
"Danny has had a lot of appearances under his belt and is an experienced head.
