A FORMER senior SNP MP has said she will not miss the "stinking misogyny" of some party members after losing her seat at the election.
Joanna Cherry was one of dozens of Nationalists unseated on July 4 as Scottish Labour surged to victory across the central belt.
She hit out last night after being branded a "pathetic, narcissistic, abusive loser" by an ex-staff member for another SNP MP.
And former SNP government minister Elena Whitham revealed the misogyny she experienced "very nearly broke me".
Cherry shared an outburst from Derec Thompson - who previously worked in the office of disgraced MP Margaret Ferrier - as an example of the abuse she regularly receives on social media.
The former Edinburgh South West MP previously claimed Nicola Sturgeon owed the SNP an apology for failing to capitalise on public dissatisfaction with Brexit and Tory misrule at Westminster.
But Cherry, a long-term critic of Scottish Government policies on gender, has been on the receiving end of a backlash from other independence supporters.
