RISHI Sunak must call a general election after Suella Braverman was sacked and David Cameron was brought into government, Scottish MPs have demanded.
Scottish Labour's Ian Murray said Sunak delayed in sacking Braverman because he is a "weak" Prime Minister and it was time to "put his government out of their misery".
First Minister Humza Yousaf said Braverman has "fanned the flames of division" and Sunak was "out of ideas" and should go to the country now.
Murray said: "The Prime Minister that likes to say he's the change Prime Minister was too weak to sack Braverman and too weak not to have appointed her in the first place.
"He's now reached for a former discredited PM to fill the Foreign Secretary role.
He should put his government out of their misery and call a general election.
He added on Twitter: "Sacked again.
The last sacking lasted six days. Let's see if this sacking outlasts a lettuce." Murray was referring to a lettuce lasting longer than Liz Truss as PM and Braverman being booted out of office last year for breaching the ministerial code.
Yousaf said Braverman was "unfit for public office" because she "revelled in fanning the flames of division".
He said: "Never has someone been so unfit for public office as Suella Braverman.
"At a time when we need those in Government to bring communities together, she revelled in fanning the flames of division. The Tories are out of ideas and out of time, there should be a general election now." Scottish Greens co-leader Lorna Slater called Braverman's legacy "shameful". She said: "Suella Braverman caused huge damage and spread enormous misery in her 13-month reign of cruelty.
