- Humza Yousaf forced into top team reshuffle as Michael Matheson quits over iPad shambles
- Neil Gray appointed new Health Secretary after predecessor lied to media about data charges
HUMZA Yousaf is facing a fresh crisis after shamed health secretary Michael Matheson finally quit over the £11,000 data roaming scandal.
He resigned despite refusing to apologise and downplaying the row as a "distraction" for the government.
Matheson will be entitled to £12,712 in ministerial "severance" pay - more than Dai enough to cover the data bill.
Yousaf ally Neil Gray has Re been installed as the new health chief and tasked with turning around the NHS.
Matheson's resignation, broken by the Daily Record online, came after he faced months of pressure to quit.
The senior SNP MSP had incurred the data bill on his Holyrood iPad during a family holiday to Morocco.
He tried to say the cost was for constituency business but later changed his story by blaming his children for streaming football.
Matheson also paid back the full amount after initially being content for the taxpayer to pick up the data roaming charge.
A Holyrood probe, launched last year, is said to be critical of Matheson and he quit early yesterday morning.
