Caicedo sinks Pool record bid for Blues shot

CHELSEA v LIVERPOOL 

CHELSEA will step up their bid to bag Brighton star Moises Caicedo after he rejected a £111million British record transfer to Liverpool.

The Ecuadorian is holding out for a switch to Stamford Bridge despite the Reds outbidding their rivals.

The midfielder refused to head north for a medical as he favours a move to Chelsea and is now waiting for a deal to be struck.

The Blues had failed in three bids up to £80m before offering £100m in what turned into an auction as Liverpool arrived late with a bigger offer in an attempt to hijack the transfer. Jurgen Klopp's Anfield outfit only made their move after they received encouragement from the player's camp.
