THE mum of tragic 10-year-old Milly Main has hit out at the SNP and Greens for voting down plans to give bereaved families extra rights.
Kimberly Darroch, who blames the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for her daughter's death, said of the snub: "This is disappointing and I hope all MSPs will reconsider this in the final vote.
"Families are looking to our parliament to take the necessary steps to ensure that nobody has to go through what we went through ever again."
Milly was in remission from leukaemia at the QEUH when she died in 2017.
Kimberly learned about the infection link when she read the claims of a whistleblower in the Daily Record two years later.
An independent probe concluded Milly died after "probably" catching a water linked infection at the QEUH.
Labour responded with plans for a special Milly's Law in her memory and tabled amendments to the government's Patient Safety Commissioner Bill.
