A WOMAN who was abused by a disgraced former police officer has spoken of her relief after he was jailed.

PC Christopher Ferguson, 31, subjected three women to a campaign of terror which stretched over 14 years.

The abuse started when he was still at school and spanned a period between 2007 and 2021.

Ferguson was convicted of nine charges and jailed for three years and nine months at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

One victim said the abuse was the "hardest time of her life" but that she had to report him to protect others.

She said: "No one will ever truly know the impact and depth of what we endured with this abuser but we now have some sort of justice.

"I am so proud of myself and the other girls for being brave enough to come forward. These are such strong and incredible women who never deserved any of this.
