City boss says title is Klopp's to 'lose

PEP GUARDIOLA last night told Liverpool the title is theirs to lose after Manchester City and Arsenal drew a blank in their showdown.

Jurgen Klopp's side were the big winners, opening up a two-point lead over the Gunners while City are a further point back, with nine games left to play in the three-way title race.

Guardiola's boys were unable to find a way past Arsenal's defence and had to settle for a point, which means Klopp can end his Anfield reign with the title if Liverpool win their remaining games.

Asked if Liverpool are now favourites to lift the title, Guardiola said: "Yes. First is always favourite, second is Arsenal and we're third.

"It's not in our hands. Aston Villa is the next game, so we will try to win it. It's simple.
