PTSD drug led me to abortion..protesters only make pain worse

A MUM who had an abortion while taking medication for PTSD has hit out as campaigners continue to target Scots clinics.

Rebekah Cheung, 27, has told how she was left distressed by pro-life activists after they gathered outside the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow on Tuesday.

The group of four - who clutched signs reading "abortion is not healthcare" and "choose life" stood outside the maternity unit where Rebekah had just given birth.

Their protest took place just days after the Safe Access Zones Bill received Royal Assent in Scotland. The new law means it will become illegal for demonstrations to be held within 200 metres of any clinic providing abortion services.

Rebekah, who lives in Glasgow, told the Record: "I had an abortion last year and due to the medication I was on there wasn't really an option for me to keep the child as the drug can impact the baby's health. I was on the drugs because I suffer badly from PTSD after multiple sexual assaults.
