Aimee's death inspires Jack to raise awareness of suicide

THE dad of a young teacher who took her own life is urging people not to suffer in silence and reach out for help.

Aimee Brannan, 28, was found dead at her Bonnybridge home on July 3 of this year after failing to pick her younger sister up from work.

Dad Jack Brannan, 62, said his world completely collapsed after her heartbreaking death which "came out of nowhere".

The school janitor had seen his daughter just hours earlier and was expecting her to stay the night at his home.

But when design and technology teacher Aimee failed to pick up her younger sister Emily, 20, from work at 11pm, a former partner attended her home and realised something was wrong.
