SCOTS campaigners have furiously to reacted revelations that Big Tobacco has been bankrolling scientists to play down the threat of vaping to kids.
Green MSP Gillian Mackay branded ciggie companies "utterly shameful" after it emerged they've funded research papers to undermine the campaign for tougher regulations on e-cigs.
It comes as a teen vaping craze has swept Scotland, with a staggering 25 percent of 15-year-olds using the gadgets.
The Record has been calling all year for a ban on candy-flavored disposable vapes overwhelmingly being taken up by young and underage users.
As well as the threat to health, the products take a shocking toll on our environment, blighting streets and parks with plastic and electronic waste.
