Renewed call for 'inhumane' devices to be banned

A TINY robin has been rescued after being found snared in a cruel glue trap.

The Scottish SPCA was called by a member of the public after the bird was discovered in Condorrat, Cumbernauld.

It was taken to the animal charity's wildlife hospital where staff used vegetable oil to try to remove the glue from its feathers.

Thankfully, it was released back into the wild just two days later.

The shocking case has reignited calls for the inhumane” devices to be banned in Scotland.
