Parents tell of disruptive behaviour after shocking incident

A TEACHER was left lying in a school corridor after he was allegedly attacked by a pupil. 

Emergency services were called to Taylor High School in Motherwell after reports of a staff member being assaulted.

The teacher, who is understood to be in his 60s, did not require medical treatment.

A 13-year-old male has since been charged in connection with the incident and a report has been submitted to the youth justice authorities.

Footage of the alleged attack shows the teacher on the floor surrounded by colleagues.

The clip is understood to have been shared on social media app Snapchat. Worried parents have raised concerns over disruptive behaviour at the school by a "gang" of pupils and claim this "culminated in the assault" just after 3pm last Wednesday.
