Gaffer vows he'll win over Reds fans who don't believe in him

NEIL WARNOCK knows the Red Army is split over his appointment but believes that his Aberdeen revolution can get them all 100 per cent committed.

The veteran manager admitted he has turned down more lucrative offers to take up the top job at Pittodrie because he had a gut feeling.

The new boss will take charge of the Dons for the first time when they take on Rangers at Ibrox tonight.

Warnock, no stranger to social media, knows the reaction to him becoming Dons boss has been mixed.

He said: "I know it sounds silly, at my age but I'm quite excited. That's how I am, that's why I come back (to football) and get to grips with things.

"I like making people smile. I like coming into a club meeting everybody - I like all of the staff from everywhere.

"I've just met the cooks, they're very important to me, as I'm quite hungry at times. It's good - we can have four months now and the only pressure on me is I want to win. I can't see me getting the sack in four months.
