ANDY ROBERTSON made Scotland history last night but will hope to make even more at Euro 2024.
The Liverpool star won his 71st cap against Finland and his 48th leading the team - a record number for a Scotland skipper, surpassing George Young's mark.
Robertson led his team out for their final Hampden warm-up game ahead of the Euros.
He strode out with a luminous green armband and pink boots.
When it comes to his nation it's normally Robbo's performances that shine and standout.
Scotland marked the evening with a cartoon superhero-style programme cover, which read
'Captain Andy'. It was a muscled sketch of Robertson with a Lion Rampant shield that could deflect everything away.
It was very much based on a Captain America theme but Robbo might have come to his country's rescue more than the Marvel hero across the pond.
You only need to ask Steve Clarke or his predecessor, Alex McLeish, who first made Robertson the captain on a permanent basis.
Also, he was one of the first picks for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. That says it all.
