SNP SUPPORT AT NINE-YEAR LOW

Backing dips to pre-indvref level amid scandals

SNP support at Holyrood has fallen to its lowest level since the independence referendum after the resignation of Nicola Sturgeon and a probe into party finances.

A YouGov poll found the SNP's constituency vote share has dropped five points since March to 38 per cent, the joint-lowest since the 2014 independence vote.

As recently as December, the SNP was on 50 per cent in constituency voting intention.

The poll shows Labour's constituency vote share of 30 per cent is its highest since the 2014 vote. The Tories took 16 per cent and the Lib Dems 10 per cent.
