TIMOTHY Spall has told how playing a murder victim whose relatives will be watching left him with a great sense of responsibility.
The 66-year-old stars in BBC1 drama The Sixth Commandment as Peter Farquhar, a university lecturer drugged and suffocated by his lover Ben Field.
The churchwarder then duped neighbour Ann Moore-Martin out of cash, after persuading her he was in love with her despite their 50-year age gap.
Spall revealed 69-year-old Peter's family, including brother Ian and sister-in-law Sue, watched the four-part show and felt he'd done him justice.
