STUART KETTLEWELL hailed super subs Moses Ebiye and Tawanda Maswanhise as they combined to send Motherwell into the quarter-finals.

Ebiye headed home new recruit Maswanhise's cross in the first half of extra time to knock out Euro hopefuls Kilmarnock.

Ex-Leicester kid Maswanhise was only signed on Sunday morning after a trial and boss Kettlewell believes he'll excite the fans.

After seeing off ten man Killie, who had Stuart Findlay sent off in normal time, to set up a last-eight clash with Dundee United, Kettlewell said: "It's always good to see subs make the impact.

"They gave us a different dimension. You can see what Tawanda's going to bring us.

"It's been a bit of whirlwind for him. We've had him in since the start of last week and he's shown up well.

"He brings us a dimension that we don't have with his ball carrying ability. Hopefully he's exciting for the Motherwell fans because he's really embraced coming here and he excites me.
