SCOTS have been warned to prepare for "midge-ageddon" in parts of the country this week.
According to data from The Scottish Midge Forecast, the levels of midges in the north-west of Scotland are predicted to "reach peak nuisance levels".
The Scottish Midge Forecast is a regularly updated map created by Smidge using data collected from various biting midge traps and mini-weather stations.
