THE Daily Record's campaign to outlaw disposable vapes has been hailed by MSPs in parliament.

The public praise comes as the Scottish, UK and Welsh governments team up to ban the single-use gadgets.

Greens minister Lorna Slater announced she'd held "constructive" conversations this week with counterparts in Cardiff and Westminster on the e-cig menace.

It came as a Holyrood debate on the issue yesterday saw MSPs lining up to unanimously back calls for tough action on the youth vaping crisis.

Since January, we've been campaigning to raise awareness of the environmental nightmare caused by single-use vapes.

They waste hazardous and precious materials like lithium on a colossal scale, blight our streets with litter, pose a fire risk and are getting a new generation hooked on nicotine.
