Account connected to Maddy disappearance

FOUR years after Christian Brueckner was named as a suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, details of evidence against him have been revealed.

German police found an email account that connects him to the case, a court was told yesterday.

An officer referred to it at the hearing as the "murder" account.

Prosecutors previously said they have proof that convicted paedophile Brueckner, 47, snatched and killed British youngster Madeleine in 2007 while she was on holiday in Portugal.

Investigators had repeatedly refused to reveal what the evidence is.

But yesterday a senior detective said officers found emails on Brueckner's Hotmail account that show a connection to the disappearance.
