Mum sets up charity after suicide bids by her son, 12

A MUM who has battled for years for help for her suicidal son has begun a charity to assist others like him.

Kirsty Solman, 41, and her husband Scott, 46, have been trying to get mental health help for their 12-year-old son Kyle for two years.

Kyle has repeatedly told them that he does not want to live and has made several attempts on his own life.

But until recently the family have struggled to get him the help he needs.

Kirsty and Scott created the charity Stand With Kyle Now to help others navigate child and adolescent mental health services.
