FEMALE students from Afghanistan have arrived in Scotland to complete their medical studies following a three-year campaign.
The 19 women arrived at Edinburgh Airport on Monday after they secured places at St Andrews, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen universities.

There were tears from some women when they arrived to be welcomed by John and Lorna Norgrove, who run the charity that paid for their travel.
