QUEEN'S handed them a break on the road there but Billy Dodds insists Inverness have earned their "fairytale" crack at being Hampden kings.

Caley Thistle lost their fourth-round clash at home to Queen's Park 2-0 but were reinstated as the Spiders had fielded ineligible loan player Euan Henderson.

The Premiership pair of Livingston and Kilmarnock have since been swatted aside to tee up tomorrow's semifinal with Falkirk.

Dodds, whose side are back in the Championship play-off fight with a seven-game unbeaten streak, said: "It would be a fairytale.

"And it's happened in the league that people thought we were out of it and we've gone on this run. We are a team capable of great things.

"When we are at our best, we will give most teams a game.

That's the frame of mind I hope my squad are in. We don't think, 'We are lucky to be here and let's give the next side we face a passage into the next round.
