NICOLE Scherzinger wants to be a mum... but not before she takes her award-winning musical to Broadway.

The 45-year-old won an Olivier Award for best actress in a musical for her portrayal of Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard in the West End.

Now the reboot of the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit is heading for the bright lights of Broadway, with opening night on October 20.

Nicole is loving her work - even though it means she and her fiance, former Scotland rugby union star Thom Evans, have to put their family plans on hold for a while.

Asked if she wanted children in a new interview, she said: "Oh my gosh, I would love to. It's like the clock is ticking.

"I want to have a baby but work calls. But I'm going to have to make time because, yes, I cannot wait."
