The Gunners narrowly missed out on securing a top-four spot after a topsy-turvy end to the campaign.

They cruised past Everton on the last day of the season with a 5-1 win, but Tottenham secured the final Champions League spot after beating Norwich 5-0.

A 3-0 in the North London derby against Spurs earlier this month, followed by a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle, had ultimately given Arteta's men a mountain to climb.
