ZAK CRAWLEY looked set for a birthday century before throwing his wicket away as England collapsed in their first innings.
Crawley turned 26 yesterday and looked set to celebrate in the best style possible.
But after sharing half-century stands with both Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope, he skied a catch off Axar Patel to spark an Indian revival.
His 76 off just 78 balls was his highest score against the hosts.
Despite falling in disappointing fashion, he won't be changing his approach any time soon.
He said: "I wasn't happy to get out when I did but I'd definitely do the same thing again.
