TROPHY hunters are still shooting farm-bred lions – two years after South Africa pledged to outlaw it.

And many of the beasts suffer “unimaginable” cruelty during their short lives.

Charity World Animal Protection found lions are often severely neglected and starved to save cash – sometimes resulting in them killing and eating one another.
