A Spanish sizzle will see temperatures soar towards 30C today, nudging up to 33C tomorrow.
And Wednesday could see parts of the nation bask in 32C with the north enjoying 27C this week.
With a dozen days of heatwaves due this summer, bosses fear a repeat of sickies doubling like after big England football games.
