A FEW months after playing for part-timers London against Keighley, Abbas Miski lines up in Super League’s Grand Final for Wigan saying: “I always knew I was good enough.”

Since coming back from his brief Championship loan spell in March, the Lebanon winger has rattled off 29 tries in 25 games and not missed a match.

He hopes his next 80 minutes against Catalans at Old Trafford will see the League Leaders’ Shield winners crowned champions and complete his own stunning turnaround.

Australian-born Miski scored nine tries in as many games to show his promise last year following his initial move to Wigan from London.

Struggling for a spot this time around, he headed back to the capital for a one-off runout and has not looked back.

Miski, 28, who only made a handful of NRL appearances for Manly before moving to the UK, could easily have thought his chance had gone.
