BLADE runner Jonnie Peacock finished fifth and said: “I am better than these people.”
The darling of London 2012 led at 60m but was not even in the frame for medals at the end of the 100m final.
Peacock refused to doff his cap to gold medallist Sherman Guity of Costa Rica, who won in a Paralympic record time of 10.65secs.
“In 2017 Jonnie would have wiped the floor with these boys,” said the Brit, 31.
“I am better than these people. It’s me versus me. It’s not that these guys have beaten me, I’ve gotten in my own way and beaten myself this year.”
