WHEN St Helens star Lewis Dodd was dropped, he knew he could either whinge or fight to regain his place.
The scrum-half, who makes a high-profile move to South Sydney at the end of the season, chose the latter. And he intends to help fire Saints back to Old Trafford.
Dodd, 22, was axed after a shock loss to lowly Castleford last month.
Dumped for the derby at Wigan, he was on the bench against Warrington but left out completely again for a 46-4 hammering at Leigh.
However, boss Paul Wellens was always confident the talented playmaker, who famously kicked Saints to World Club Challenge glory in Penrith, would rediscover his form and bounce back.
With England ace Jonny Lomax suspended, he was recalled for Saturday's 46-6 win at Hull, ending a five-game losing run.
