LEE CARSLEY has come a long way from driving the mini-bus for the youth team at Coventry.

And that probably goes some way to explain why it can be easy for Carsley to be driving along, as he listens to a radio debate about England, and forget he is now in charge.

Carsley, 50, said: "There has been once or twice I've been in the car and my mind has wandered and it's almost like, it sort of hits you, the responsibility.

"You're maybe listening to the radio and they're talking about England and you're thinking, "That's interesting! I might need to listen to a bit more of that!' My life has not changed one bit. I try not to worry too much about it.

I'm lucky in terms of the family around me, nothing has changed.

"I'm not sat here having managed one season in the Premier League, one season in the Championship. Been on Sky and done a bit of punditry.
