EMMA HAYES says Chelsea delivered a champions’ performance as they returned to the head of the WSL table following a 1-0 win against Manchester United.
Sam Kerr’s first-half strike separated the two teams and Hayes’ injury-hit side held on to replace United who had begun the day in top spot.
The Chelsea manager said: “It was our third game in a week, we have had sickness and injuries so for everyone to step up it showed what a tremendous squad we have.
“They carried out the game plan to perfection. That was a Chelsea performance today.
