But the new Tottenham boss said he knew the club legend would be leaving before he took the job.
Postecoglou said: “I’m not going to tell the supporters how to feel. They need to go through that process themselves.
“What’s really important now is that when they see their team play, that fills them with hope and potential that we can build something they’re going to be proud of.
