Entrances and exits to the 2,500-acre park were sealed overnight in the search for the former soldier who escaped from Wandsworth prison by strapping himself underneath a Bidfood delivery lorry on Wednesday.
Two helicopters circled the park - near where his family lived until recently. His disappearance prompted questions over why he was held in a Category B jail instead of top-security Belmarsh, which often holds inmates accused of terror-related offences.
Scotland Yard chief Sir Mark Rowley, who previously ran the counter-terrorism command, said he found Khalife's jail categorisation "odd" and added that he couldn't rule out whether an "inside job" aided his escape. He said it was "clearly preplanned" and "extremely concerning".
