A spokesman for Attorney General Victoria Prentis confirmed that her office had received a referral arguing the sentence yesterday was unduly lenient. The Cabinet minister has 28 days to review the request and decide whether to refer the case to the Court of Appeal to rule on whether it was appropriate. “I find this case absolutely horrendous,” Treasury minister Gareth Davies told Sky News.
