Wagatha Christie lawyers back in court over Vardy’s legal costs bill

THE Wagatha Christie feud between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy was returning to the High Court today for a fresh battle over the costs of their libel trial.

The pair faced off after Rooney, 38, accused Vardy, 42, of leaking stories about her to The Sun. Vardy sued Rooney in 2022, but a judge ultimately concluded Rooney's claim was "substantially true"- leaving Vardy with a seven-figure bill for the libel trial costs.

Vardy, the wife of Leicester City player Jamie Vardy, was told to pay an initial £800,000 in November 2022, and was made liable for 90 per cent of Rooney's estimated £2 million costs.

The two sides were returning to court today for a judge to settle a dispute about the final legal costs incurred during the High Court case.
