THE SWEEPING CHANGES taking place in the industry due to AI are already being recognised by some industries and the early starters have started realising the benefits too. On the other hand, those who are slow to adapt to the changes, or have either got left behind, have had to go belly up.

Retail is one of the domains that got impacted by the internet boom and witnessed the entry of players like Amazon and eBay who disrupted the then existing brick-and-mortar retail business. Several established players struggled to adapt to the advent of digital in their businesses.
