Inoperative Jan Dhan accounts have ₹14,750 cr balance

INOPERATIVE BANK ACCOUNTS under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) have a balance of ₹14,750 crore as of November 20, 2024, the finance ministry informed Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.

Out of the total of 540.3 million accounts opened under PMJDY, 113 million accounts are inoperative, minister of state for finance Pankaj Chaudhary said.
