On Saturday, Solan recorded the high maximum temperature for January at 29 degrees Celsius. The previous highest maximum temperature was 27.5 degrees Celsius, recorded on January 26, 2007.
In Shimla city, the maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 23.1 degrees Celsius, breaking the record for previous highest maximum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, recorded a day earlier.
